If you don't already have a "Code Guy"... Or you have a few questions about where to even start... Maybe YOU are the person for the company that is supposed to BE the "Code guy"...
In either case, this meeting is a good place to start. Our presenter can't cover every detail in just 45 minutes, but you'll get a sense for what these consultants can offer and a healthy Q & A session to bring forth some of your specific concerns. Sometimes its even a question from a fellow CGCA member that proves to be enlighteing for everyone.
Questions should relate to building codes. Our presenter, Phil Goddard, provides consulting on accessibility, safety glazing code requirements and other issues such as spandrel wall fire stopping systems. We will also have a handout available covering the 2018 code changes.
Specifically covered in the presentation will include:
Glazing and Fire ratings:
Fire-rated Glazing IBC 716
Types of building fire ratings affecting glazing - IBC Chapter 7
Fire rated building components affecting glazing - IBC Chapter 7
