Lessons about Leadership: What My Dying Patients Have Taught Me….

Meet our Speaker: Kim Vesey

Kim has provided care to over 1,000 hospice patients and been with over 100 patients at the time of their death. She has learned that dying patients are amazing and insightful teachers. She will share life lessons her patients taught her and how these lessons have become the foundation for her leadership roles. Come be inspired and learn how you can apply these same lessons to your career.

Kim Vesey is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse. Her 30 year hospice career includes 13 years as a hospice nurse at the bedside and the last 17 years in hospice management. Her Bachelor’s degree is in nursing and she has a Master’s degree in Health Administration. She is also a certified spiritual director. In addition to her extensive professional experience, Kim has also had a personal hospice experience. She cared for her husband who was diagnosed with advanced cancer in October 2005, until his death in March 2006. She is the proud mother of two adult children (Patrick and Sarah) and the grandmother to Warren. She lives in Beavercreek, with her 3 pound yorkie, Sally.
