5K Race and 1-Mile Fun Run

The Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation

The Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation (CNCF) was founded in 2000 by parents who had lost a child to neuroblastoma.  Hundreds of families have joined us in our fight to make the journey of neuroblastoma a little easier.    The monies raised through the Tiger Trot would be used to sponsor our Kid’s Room at the annual parent and caregiver conference for those effected by neuroblastoma, located at the Westin Hotel in Lombard.  This is a place where neuroblastoma victims and their siblings come for 2 days to do crafts, watch magicians, get their faces painted and have fun playing with other kids who are just like them.  There is a feeling of belonging when other kids in the room have bald heads, chemotherapy ports and a host of other medical problems that come with high dose chemotherapy and radiation.  These kids are not stared at, made fun of or excluded – rather we have heard, “Thank you for making this weekend the best days of my life!”

RUN THE RACE!

Enjoy running a flat, scenic course through the Arrowhead and Legends neighborhoods. This is a USA Track and Field certified course.  Walk up/day-of-race registrations are welcome! Day-of credit card payments will be accepted.

Strollers are welcome, but please start at the back. No dogs, rollerblades, scooters, or bikes allowed. Dogs are not permitted at the race or on school grounds.

Post-race refreshments will be provided for all participants.

Pre-Race Regisgtration is now closed.  We will have in-person registration on Friday, May 12th from 3-5 pm and Saturday, May 13th from 6:45-7:10 am. 

SHIRT PRE-SALE IS NOW CLOSED.

If you would still like to purchase a shirt, there will be a limited number of shirts for sale at packet pick up (5/12, 3-5 pm) or at pre-race registration (5/13, 6:45-8 am) on a first come first served basis.

PICK UP YOUR RACE PACKET!

Race packets and T-shirts may be picked up at Wiesbrook School on:

Friday, May 12th: 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 13th: 6:30-7:15 a.m.

Pre-race check-in MANDATORY to receive chip time device. Race results will be posted online at  Real Timing Inc.

Race Day Registration is available from 6:30-7:00 a.m. for guaranteed chip timing.  All other race-day registrations for non-timed runners and for the 1 mile will be taken up until race time - 7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m., respectively.
