The Community Center is offering two training programs (Couch to 5K & Couch to 5K 2.0) to get you ready to participate in the Ignite the Night 5K. The Ignite the Night will start and end outside of the THE PUB HOUSE located in downtown Madison, SD.
The Couch to 5K is a fantastic program designed to get anyone from the couch to running a 5K in just 10 weeks. This program will start off slowly getting your body moving and working your way up to running. All training sessions begin with a warm up, followed by interval training.
The Couch to 5K 2.0 is an advanced running program. The Couch to 5K 2.0 is a higher intensity training program that will start out with run/walk intervals and advancing to all running. The 2.0 program starts with a 3 minute run and a 2 minute walk.
Classes are every Tuesday & Thursday starting April 21st to June 27th. The Couch to 5K 2.0 is from 12:10-12:50pm and the Couch to 5K is from 5:30-6:10pm.
