Remix Chicago partners with Edgewater Development Corp. on weekend pop-up shop from Oct. 22-Dec. 30

Remix Chicago has been asked to help curate a pop-up shop for the Edgewater Development Corporation in Chicago’s Bryn Mawr Historic District in the Edgewater neighborhood

This pop-up shop is aimed at activating a commercial space in the historic Belle Shore Hotel located at 1052 W Bryn Mawr Ave. The hotel was developed by Max Malter and named for his wife Belle in 1928-’29. The building was recognized as a Chicago Landmark on January 20, 1999.

To be called “Holiday Remix Pop-up Shop,” the store will be open from Oct. 22 through Dec. 30. Holiday Remix Pop-up Shop will be open weekends only (Friday from 3-9 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. – though hours are subject to change)

Because the cause – activating a commercial space in a landmark building – is one that’s right up Remix Chicago’s alley, we are offering reduced rates for Remix Chicago artists who also are taking part in Holiday Remix 2016.

The store will embody the look and feel of a tasteful apartment/home and carry a variety of art, jewelry, light apparel, gift and housewares, textiles, and furniture.

Staffing – you will not need to be present during store hours
Inventory Management
Marketing and Promotions
Social Media Promotion
Community Engagement
Licensing and Permits

Staff will curate an integrated merchandising display and do our best to make placement equitable for all vendors.

COST:

$170 ($80 if you also sign up for Holiday Remix 2016!)

(Holiday Remix will pay vendors the balance of the sale price twice per month).
