Alcohol and Drug Abuse Training: Relapse Prevention 

 

Content:  The purpose of this course is to provide relapse prevention tools for substance abuse counselors and mental health providers. Participants will identify potential risk factors, gain a basic understanding of developing relapse prevention plans, and evaluate effectiveness of relapse prevention strategies.

Facilitator: Gigi N. Jones, MSCP, CSAC, has worked in the human service field for over 15 years. She has facilitated psycho-education for individual and group counseling services with the focus on substance disorders and recovery.

Target Audience: Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC), Certified Prevention Specialists (CPS), and applicants; those with other ADAD professional credentials; and anyone involved in the human services field.
