As human beings, we all need physical contact to feel secure and loved, and children are no exception.
The limitations imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic have made it increasingly difficult for adults to show affection to children, which may have resulted in feelings of isolation, loneliness, and disconnection. Reduced physical contact also impacts adults, especially teachers and caregivers in the classroom environment. But there are ways to safely show affection and care while still adhering to smart safety guidelines.
Join us for a training to help you creatively work with children during uncertain times.
This 25 minute training is designed for parents, caregivers, teachers, and school personnel.
If you are a childcare provider with the Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County, PBSD employee, or a parent/caregiver living in Palm Beach County, contact us for a special code to waive the training fee. Students and Palm Beach County partners can contact us for a significant discount.
In this training you will learn about:
•Benefits of Physical Contact with Children
•Limitations of Physical Contact in Response to COVID-19

•Ways to Show Affection without Physical Contact
