MTA/NJ Walt Johnson III Memorial Shoot Off 

Tune up your marksmanship with a round of sporting clays at Red Wing Sporting Clays Facility in Port Republic, NJ at the MTA/NJ Walt Johnson III Memorial Shoot Off.  This annual event will be held on Tuesday, November 16th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  

Proceeds from the event will benefit the MarineTrades Association of NJ and our efforts to advance, promote and protect the recreational boating industry in New Jersey.

The event is open to novice and experienced shooters. New shooters are welcome! Teams of four will compete on a sporting clay course. The MTA/NJ will place anyone who does not have a team of four into a group the day of shooting.

Once again, we will be shooting 100 targets straight-through on the course. Please plan your ammo accordingly. There are reported ammo shortages - please contact us right away if you will need ammo for the event so we can make arrangments.

Following the competition, lunch will be served along with awards for the best team and best shooter. We will also be holding our famous chili cook off. All are welcome to enter the contest, but space is limited. Please email Allison at aboyle@mtanj.org to enter. 

Guns, ear plugs, glasses are available for anyone that needs them. The cost per person is $85, not including the cost for ear and eye protection.
