Isabella Byrd is a Brooklyn based lighting designer. She received an Obie Award for her design of Caryl Churchill's Light Shining in Buckinghamshire directed by Rachel Chavkin, at New York Theatre Workshop. Recent New York credits include "Daddy" A Melodrama by Jeremy O.Harris for The New Group and Vineyard Theatre, PLANO for Clubbed Thumb, Continuity at Manhattan Theatre Club, and The Thanksgiving Play at Playwrights Horizons. Regional work includes Seascape at ACT in San Francisco, Member of the Wedding and Artney Jackson (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Angels in America (co-design), the 2018 Humana Fest Do You Feel Anger and God Said This at Actors Theatre of Louisville. She has also designed at Portland Center Stage, and City Theatre Pittsburgh. Upcoming work at PigPen Theatre Co. at The Old Globe, Williamstown, Playwrights Horizons, Westport County Playhouse, Shakespeare Theatre Company, DC, Hartford Stage, and the Alley Theatre.
