Friction, Fray, and Fabric: Textiles in the First World War - A Textile Study Symposium
In recognition of the Centennial of the United States' entry into World War I, join the Virginia Quilt Museum in Downtown, Harrisonburg, VA for our third annual symposium on Friday and Saturday, July 28-29. PLUS - new for 2017 - join us for a special, pre-symposium kick-off event on Thursday, July 27.

REGISTRATION DETAILS:
ATTENDANCE WILL BE CAPPED AT 125 INDIVIDUALS.
Symposium pre-registration is strongly suggested and is the only way to assure your participation. Day-of, walk-up registrations will be accepted for Friday and Saturday programming with a $10 late fee so long as we have not reached our maximum attendance cap of 125 individuals. Please note that registration for our Thursday programming - the Pre-Symposium Kick-Off Tour of the Columbine II Air Force One - has an earlier registration deadline of 3pm, Tuesday, July 18th.
All registration cancellations made by 3pm Tuesday, July 18, will be refunded in full, minus the non-refundable registration fee, within two weeks of the Symposium's conclusion. Cancellations made after 3pm, Tuesday, July 18, but before 3pm Wednesday, July 26, will be refunded in full, minus the non-refundable registration and the cost of the Pre-Syposium Kick-off Plane Tour, (if applicable) within two weeks of the Symposium's conclusion. Cancellations made after 3pm Wednesday, July 26, will be refunded at a rate of 50% of the total registration, minus the non-refundable registration fee and the cost of the Pre-Symposium Kick-off Plane Tour, (if applicable) within two weeks of the Symposium's conclusion.
REGISTRATION METHODS:
You may register three ways.
1) ONLINE by credit card. The preferred method for registration is online using a credit card or PayPal account for payment. [SEE BUTTON BELOW]
2) ONLINE by check. You may register online and pay by check by completing the registration process online and then mailing your check (with the memo line: Symposium Registration) to: Virginia Quilt Museum, 301 S. Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801. [SEE BUTTON BELOW]
3) BY PHONE or IN PERSON. You may also register by phone with a credit card or in person with any method of payment. You may call the Virginia Quilt Museum on Tuesday-Saturday, 10am to 4pm at (540) 433-3818 or visit at 301 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA. We suggest you familiarize yourself with the schedule and the different a la carte participation options online before calling or visiting to ease and speed the phone or in person registration process.
*SPECIAL NOTE! Please note that all registrants of our special, Pre-Symposium Kick-Off Event - the tour of Columbine II, America's First Air Force One - must read this attached "Dynamic Aviation Visit Description and Conditions" form before registering. As Dynamic Aviation is a government contractor and has many security measures in place, it is essential that this form is read and understood before arrival. You will also be asked to sign a hard copy of this form before beginning your tour.
