Payment terms:  $100 deposit with reservation before May 5- after May 5 full payment required with registration. . Full payment due no later than May 15.  Deposit refundable if canceled by April 25. No refunds after May 15. Trip cancellation insurance available.

Price includes photography coaching and personal assistance from professional photographer Dan Splaine throughout tour, bus transportation throughout tour, 4 nights hotel, local Nova Scotia tour guide, NH Tours Director, 4 breakfasts, 3 dinners, all admissions, Nova Star Ferry, luggage handling of one suitcase per person (you’re allowed carry-ons which you are responsible for), all taxes and gratuities.

PROPOSED ITINERARY for OUR NOVA SCOTIA TOUR

Day 1–June 25, 2014 – Arrive Saint John

BUS PICK-UP TIMES

9:00 a.m.. – Bus departs Holiday Inn, 9 Northeastern Blvd, Nashua (park in rear lot closest to highway – do not wait in hotel lobby)

9:20 a.m. – Second pick up at Macy’s, 125 South River Rd, Bedford (turn into Macy’s, take first left, use park & ride area)

10:10 a.m. - Third pick up at C+J Bus Station 185 Grafton Drive Portsmouth

We’ll travel 8 hours to St. John, New Brunswick with several rest stops along the way. When we arrive in Saint John we will be joined by our kilted local tour guide.   Overnight in St. John


Day 2 – June 26, 2014 – Saint John to Halifax

Travel to the Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy this morning to experience a true natural wonder.   Marvel at massive flower-pot shaped formations sculpted by the highest tides on the planet.   You will arrive as the tide is just starting to come in and after exploring the site and enjoying lunch on your own, the tide will be at its highest; the contrast will be remarkable and will provide many photo opportunities.   Continue on to Nova Scotia where you will spend two nights in cosmopolitan Halifax on the Atlantic Ocean.  Enjoy a city tour to learn about the people, places and events that have shaped one of North America’s fascinating cities.  Photography stops will include the view from atop Citadel Hill, the Old Town Clock, the Victorian Public Gardens and much more Also learn of the devastating Halifax explosion and Halifax’s connection to the Titanic Disaster.  Check into your downtown accommodations and where you will enjoy dinner.

Day 3 – June 27, 2014 – Annapolis Valley Day Trip

Travel through the heart of the farm land of Nova Scotia, past the rolling hills and pleasant pastoral settings of the lush Annapolis Valley, to visit the land of the Acadians who established their first settlement in the early 1600’s.  Enjoy a tour and tasting at Luckett Vineyards which boosts incredible views of the Gaspereau Valley.  Lunch is on your own in Hall’s Harbour, a quaint little fishing community.  One of the highlights of your day will be a picture stop at the Blomidon Look-Off where you will capture a panoramic viewst of the Valley.  Dinner this evening is at local pub with an interior is so uniquely Irish that it was built in Dublin and shipped to Halifax.

Day 4 – June 28, 2014 - Halifax to Yarmouth

This morning, discover the rustic charm of Peggy’s Cove, an artists’ and explorers’ paradise for well over 150 years.  Located on the rugged Atlantic shoreline, standing on solid rock above the crashing surf, the coastline is famous for pirates, shipwrecks and one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world.  Travel on to picture-perfect Mahone Bay where a trinity of 19th century-built churches represents an iconic cultural landscape of Nova Scotia.  Next is the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg, renowned for her fleet of Grand Banks’ fishing schooners and the famed Bluenose.  There will be plenty of time to explore on your own and those who wish, your Tour Director will offer a walking tour to fully experience one of the most remarkably preserved colonial settlements in the New World.  Continue on to Yarmouth for your last night in the Maritimes.

Day 5 – June 29, 2014 – Depart Yarmouth

Bid farewell to your kilted tour guide at the ferry terminal where you will board the Nova Star Ferry to Portland, ME.  During the nine hour crossing you can enjoy the ocean views or the three retaurants and casino.  We will arrive in Portland, ME and the bus will return you to your NH pick-up locations.

Our NH TOURS director will be traveling with us and handling the logistics of your experience.  Pro photographer Dan Splaine will coach your photography and we will have a local tour guide accompanying us to inform our travels.  With our team of three you will get comfortable and interesting travels combined with a unique photography learning experience.

Our itinerary and local tour guide make this a wonderful travel experience. 

From the locations we are visiting to the time of year, all of the details make this an ideal photography adventure.  It is visually rich and the variety of sites and locations we will experience are ideal for photography.

Traveling in late June offers the added advantage of extended hours of daylight which is a photo bonus.  In addition to all of the scheduled tour features you will also have time in the early morning and evening to capture the beauty of Nova Scotia.    Our photo tours often include impromptu sunrise photo walks and nighttime photo adventures.
