Historic San Antonio Tour

Guests tour the historical Mission San Jose. From its founding in 1720 to its present day role as an active Catholic parish, Mission San Jose hosts a number of historic attractions. Of interest are the Ruins of Convento, the Indian Quarters, the Carved Doors and the object of legend and admiration, the Rose window

Guests then travel to La Villita, San Antonio's first neighborhood, located on the south bank of the San Antonio River.  It was originally a settlement of primitive huts for the Spanish soldiers stationed at the Mission San Antonio Valero (the Alamo).  Today La Villita is a thriving art community that stands as a monument to San Antonio's past.

Next is a visit to the The Buckhorn Saloon & Museum.  For over 129 years, the Buckhorn Saloon has always been known as a gathering place for good conversation, great food and spectacular wildlife exhibits.  Today, the Saloon houses a Café, Gift Shop, Shooting Gallery and our two museums, the Buckhorn Museum and the Texas Ranger Museum.
