On Their Own & OK (4th-6th Grade) 

Join Johnson County 4-H  at one of their summer camp programs!

Johnson County 4-H provides quality camps in our community, that are educational, interactive, and sure to keep your child's attention! Register your child for an engaging camp in STEM, Healthy Living, or Art. Available for all youth; no previous 4-H involvement needed.

 

Camp Information

On Their Own and OK builds skills in youth, as well as incorporates ways for parents or guardians in the home to support this step toward independence. 

Home-Alone Skills:

· handling emergencies and basic first aid

· safety /privacy with electronics and other appliances

· daily routines/responsibilities

· dealing with siblings and friends when home alone.

· basics of healthy meals and snacks and how to crush boredom. 

  

This camp meets one time 9am - 3pm at the Johnson County Extension Office. It is available to youth who have completed the grades above.

Campers will make their lunch as part of this camp. If your child would like to, they can bring their own cold, peanut-free lunch.

Campers should bring their own reusable waterbottle with their name on it.

Payment is required in advance. Camp is $25 cash or check, payable to Johnson County Extension. Your child's spot is not confirmed until payment is received. Payment at the door is not allowed.

No refunds will be given after June 1, 2023.
