Babysitting Basics, 5th-8th Grade, Solon United Methodist Church, Family Life Center

Join Johnson County 4-H  at one of their summer camp programs!

Johnson County 4-H provides quality camps in our community, that are educational, interactive, and sure to keep your child's attention! Register your child for an engaging camp in STEM, Healthy Living, or Art. Available for all youth; no previous 4-H involvement needed.

Camp Information

This interactive camp builds skills on how to care for children of different ages, choose age-appropriate activities, basic first aid and safety and how to handle emergencies.  This workshop does not certify you as a babysitter or in First Aid and CPR, but will build confidence to prepare youth for a babysitting role.

This camp meets one time 9am - 3pm at the Solon United Methodist Church, Family Life Center. It is available to youth who have completed the grades above.

Campers will make their lunch as part of this camp. If your child would like to, they can bring their own cold, peanut-free lunch.

Campers should bring their own reusable waterbottle with their name on it.

Payment is required in advance. Camp is $25 cash or check, payable to Johnson County Extension. Your child's spot is not confirmed until payment is received. Payment at the door is not allowed.

No refunds will be given after June 1, 2023.

If your family needs financial assistance, please email igsexton@iastate.edu.

The fees for service will be used to offset direct expenses and to support the 4-H Youth Development County Program.
