CalVet Women Veterans Benefits & Employment Resources Workshop 

Join us for a day aimed at helping women veterans gain new skills and knowledge through interactive presentations, hands-on activities, and role playing exercises. Featured presenters will be White House Champion of Change and award-winning author, Graciela Tiscareno-Sato, veteran, U.S. Air Force and local community partners who will help you get connected to your career!

Graciela will facilitate a highly-interactive workshop on AUTHENTIC Personal Branding where you will learn:

• Learn what a personal brand means and how to maximize it for career opportunities.
• Draw upon your military experiences to create a compelling branding statement.
• Identify the most important target audiences you need to motivate.
• Learn must-know marketing principles to position yourself as the "must have" candidate in your job search, college/grad school application, or promotion push.
• Understand what not to say to a potential employer.
• Practice introducing yourself in an authentic, memorable way to showcase your accomplishments without feeling arrogant.
• Learn valuable communication skills to apply throughout your professional life.
• So bring your resume and let us help you improve it.

This will include access to local employers and advocates. There will be two separate times for the workshop in order to allow women to enjoy The Dress Code aspect.
