Addicted to Movies... Not Drugs 2018

The City of Novi Youth Council, Novi Fire & Police Departments and Emagine Novi invite Novi (and surrounding area) Teens (grades 7-12) to Addicted to Movies Not Drugs Movie Night to benefit drug prevention and education. It's an all-night movie marathon that includes four movies, popcorn, pizza and soda throughout the evening. Please note that this event is open to local students in grades 7-12. A current student ID and ticket will be required at check-in.

We look forward to hosting you for a night of movies and fun, but want to remind you of a few Event Rules:

Tickets - Each participant must bring their student ID and either a printed or electronic version of their ticket to check-in at the event. If they do not have either of these, they will not be admitted. If a student fails to check in at the event, an event partner volunteer will be calling home to let the parent/guardian know.  Tickets are non-refundable.

Clothing - All clothing must conform to the standards set by the Novi Community Schools code of conduct, which include no pajamas, short shorts or other clothing that could be considered revealing.

Entrance into the theater - All persons entering the event consent to having their belongings searched for contraband and will be subject to arrest if found to be in possession of alcohol, tobacco or other illegal drugs. Absolutely no outside food or drink, backpacks, blankets or pillows allowed.

Popcorn & Drinks - Participants must keep their drink cup & popcorn container throughout the event for unlimited free refills.

Conduct - Movie goers are guests of Emagine Theaters, please clean up after yourself and help keep the theaters clean for other guests.

Failure to obey all rules will subject the participant to immediate expulsion from the event with parent notification.

 

Terms of Addicted to Movies... Not Drugs Event

As the parent or legal guardian of the participant(s) registered, I give my permission for him/her to attend the 2018 "Addicted to Movies...Not Drugs" event at the Emagine Theater on November 5, 2018. I grant permission for my child to participate in all on-site activities scheduled.  Event sponsors and volunteers are authorized to obtain whatever medical attention is required in the event of an injury to this child.  I have listed all pertinent medical information relating to this child.  I understand that the City of Novi, Novi Fire & Police Departments, Novi Community School District, Emagine Entertainment, its board members, officers, directors, agents, volunteers, employees and sponsors, either voluntary or employed, assume no responsibility whatever for any injury suffered to this child in the course of the event.  I hereby release, exonerate and discharge the City of Novi, Novi Fire & Police Departments, Novi Community School District, Emagine Entertainment, its board members, officers, directors, agents, volunteers, employees and sponsors, either voluntary or employed, from any and all liability, actions, of causes of action for any injuries suffered by this child while participating in this event. By submitting my registration, I am agreeing to this guardian consent and release.

By submitting my registration, I am also agreeing that my child is in 7th-12th grade and I understand that if my child is either too young (under 7th grade) or too old (graduated high school), they will not be admitted into the event and no refund will be given.  A current student ID must be present at check-in to enter the event.
