CSI East Bay-Oakland presents:

Bridge Yard & “Gateway” Regional Park Tour

Sarah Kuehl, ASLA, LEE BD+C, FAAR, with Einwiller Kuehl Landscape Architects, will present the preliminary drawings for a new proposed park in West Oakland. The presentation will be held in the Bridge Yard, which was the subject of our February Dinner Meeting. This will be an opportunity to see the renovated Bridge Yard building, with its current exhibit on the construction of the new Bay Bridge. There will be no cost to attendees and dinner will be on your own following the program.

DIRECTIONS to the BRIDGE YARD:  Drive West on West Grand Avenue to its Western Terminus, the second stoplight, past the first stoplight [7th St.] and turn left on Maritime St. [If you go straight ahead you will enter the Freeway to SF], then turn right at first cross street and follow orange signs to “Bridge Trail Parking & Burma Road.”  You will pass the South side of the Bridge Yard, but unable to cross a road under construction, proceed to end and return driving East, passing the Bridge Yard [#210] on the North side, and then turn to right [twice] past the East end of the building and into parking lot at South side of Building.  This is also parking for the Bridge Trail.

The Bridge Yard project, located near the Bay Bridge toll plaza, recently received the ASCE SF Section Award for Outstanding Historic Renovation during their recent 2017 Annual Meeting.
