Working With Parents in Recovery From   Substance Use Disorder 

In this two day training, you will master how to facilitate and implement the 10-session, high-impact, evidence-based Parents in Recovery Program. This program was developed by The Fatherhood Project at Massachusetts General Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.

The Parents in Recovery program empowers recovering fathers, mothers, and co-parents to understand critical aspects of child development, establish or repair an emotional bond with their child, parent with increased confidence, and acquire essential skills to become an outstanding parent while in recovery and beyond.

Training Includes:
  • 2 days of hands on training to learn how to facilitate The Parents in Recovery Program curriculum
  • Continuing Education credits 
  • Certificate of completion
  • Full curriculum training packet to take home (Over 100 pages with step by step guide for each simulation)
  • Live demo groups with parents in recovery 
  • Ability to engage and ask questions interactively during workshops
  • Breakfast and refreshments

Program Schedule

Thursday session will be held 9am-4pm 
Friday session will be held from 9am-3:30pm.
There will be a break both days for lunch and snacks.

Refund and Grievance Policy

Cancellation and Refund policy
A training may be cancelled if the number of participants does not meet the expectations of the program leaders. Participants who have pre-registered will be notified and will have all monies for materials and tuition refunded. If a participant pre-registers and then cancels, they may contact Executive Director Raymond Levy at 617-724-2044 or connect@thefatherhoodproject.org to discuss a refund.
