Matthew Glen and Liz Martin (1:15 – 1:45) - Muddy Fingers Farm, Hector NY. An intensive, small scale, highly diversified farm using a permanent bed system with a flock of laying hens in their rotation. They have about 100 CSA shares plus sell at 3 farmers markets.
Reduced Tillage Demonstration (1:45 – 2:30) - Anu Rangarajan and Ryan Maher, Cornell Small Farms Program.
Tour of Cover Crop Demonstration Plots (2:30 – 3:30) - Paul Salon- NRCS, Plant Materials Specialist, Dave Wilson- King’s Agriseeds, Research Agronomist, Brian Caldwell- Cornell University; Cover Crop Demonstration with over 250 plots (species, varieties, seeding rates and mixes) seeded at several dates.
