Lloyd’s of London Virtual Educational Tour

Only 35 spaces available!  Reserve your spot now!  From those early beginnings in a coffee shop in 1688 to becoming the world's leading market for specialty insurance, see how it all began and join us for a virtual tour of Lloyd’s of London.  Typically reserved for universities and insurance business related groups, Lloyd’s is offering a virtual tour by one of its guides which will include a presentation explaining the structure of the Market and its operations, the history of Lloyd’s, and the roles of underwriters and brokers.  The tour will also highlight items of historical interest including the Loss Book, Lutine Bell and Adam Room.  We invite you to stay after the tour to virtually meet your 2021-2022 RIMS Washington Chapter Board.

Confirmation of attendance will be sent four days prior to event. If spots become available, we will open them to those on a waiting list. If the waitlist fills-up, the Chapter may work on scheduling a second tour.

This course is approved by the Washington Office of Insurance Commissioner for 1 hour of CE credit. (CE Course Number: 626660)

Pricing: Nonrefundable $15 (proceeds to benefit the Seattle YWCA)

Speaker: Peter Fletcher worked in the Lloyd’s Market for 35 years, first as a Non-Marine broker, then as a Members’ Agent. He retired in 2013, and for the last seven years he has been the official Lloyd’s Tour Guide, giving lectures on the workings of the Market and conducting tours of the building. This came to a temporary end with the first lockdown in March 2020, but Peter is hoping to resume this activity at some point in 2021.
