This is our Annual Underground Storage Tank Management and Compliance Assistance Seminar.  Last year we had over 260 in attendance, and this year we expect to have an even larger attendance due to the fact that EPA has officially published the new UST Rules and each state is in the process of implementing the new rules.

Seminar Agenda:

0830 AM  -  Welcome and Announcements

0845 AM   -  Update from  GA EPD on UST Issues:  Richard Strickfaden, Georgia EPD UST Program.   Many states have formally adopted the new Federal EPA UST Rules. Find out about the status of what might be required in Georgia.  Also, Georgia EPD is in the process of adopting a new Data Base system.  This system will change the way you register your USTs.  Find out how this new system will work!  Note:  EPD will have a Help Desk at the seminar to assist UST owners in their UST Registrations.  And finally, almost all states now charge a fee per tank to register underground storage tanks.  Find out about the status of Georgia’s efforts to do this.  This fee would be separate from the GUST Trust Fund fee which will still be required.

0930 AM  -  Update on New UST Rules from EPA –  Ben Singh, Environmental Engineer,  Region 4 EPA  -   This will be a summary of the new UST rule changes and the progress of each state in region 4 in the implementation of these rules.
