How to Work or Find Employees for a Startup

Allen Geller, Raines International
Beverly Daniel, Career Growth Group
Paul Webster, Page Executive
Brian Murphy, Sheppard Mullin

There are many reasons to work for a startup. Senior and mid-level executives have been downsized from large firms and are transitioning into different careers, while others prefer the entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility that small firms offer.

Further, since economic growth in the U.S. has primarily been driven by the startup and small business sectors, there are significant numbers of new firms which need the know-how of experienced executives. These firms need specialized expertise in order to grow.

The event will focus on the following topics, among others:
    - Road map for finding employment or employees in the startup sector
    - Aspects of transitioning to startups & small businesses from large corporations
    - Jobs typically found in these sectors in terms of seniority and compensation
    - Employment contracts, in particular how they differ from corporations
