                                          Angel Presentation Roadmap

                                                                   Larry Chaityn, Angel Investor
                                                         John Margaritis, CEO, Ledgemoor Group
Ellen Sandles, President, Tri-State Private Investors Network

It is not easy to obtain angel funding, and most entrepreneurs go through a long process of relationship building with investors before they are successful. Importantly, startup owners & managers need to have a compelling funding application that meets the expectations of angels. In particular, this requires a certain structure and content sequence that fits the analytical process angels undertake with each firm. Regrettably, far too many entrepreneurs have a weak understanding of this structure, and as a result are passed over on the grounds of having an inadequate presentation.

The meeting will focus on the following topics:

    - What is the standard format of an angel presentation in terms of structure and length?
    - Is there specific content that belongs on each page, and how much detail is expected?
    - Do funding applications have a rigid framework, or is there considerable flexibility?
    - Are there phrases, expressions, or other information that angels will dismiss as generic?
    - What is an example of a funding application that angels will be impressed with?
