About Reiki
Reiki was founded by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Buddhist monk born in 1860.
Dr. Usui began a quest to learn how to heal like Jesus. He traveled throughout Asia & studied at the University of Chicago Divinity School before finally returning to Japan.
Dr. Usui climbed Mt. Kuriyamo and began a 21-day meditation and fast. While on the mountain, he saw a great ball of light come from the sky. The light struck him in the forehead and knocked him unconscious, but on awakening, he saw millions of small glowing bubbles of energy all around him. He was given a series of mysterious healing symbols that are now part of Reiki instruction.
Dr. Usui began his healing work with the beggars in the slums of Kyoto, Japan. Before long, he realized that those he healed would return again and again for treatment of the same illnesses. He believed that many of those people held onto their diseases because their illness somehow served them as useful. People preferred to live being sick because they were provided for by others, got more attention, and for other psychological reasons. So Usui altered his treatments to include not only the physical body, but also the mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies as well. This is the Usui Reiki of today which you will learn with Susanne Wilson, Reiki Master Teacher.

First--You can relax and enjoy the wonderful energy. You do not need to take notes in my class. I provide you with my Reiki manual that includes all notes.
Second--You will have plenty of practice time. My class size is limited to 6 people allowing for generous practice time and Q&A time.
Extra benefit--I share my perspective as someone who sees "unseen" energy. Besides being a Reiki Master Teacher with nearly 15 years experience, I am a spiritual medium. While I cover all the traditional Reiki material, I provide extra insights about energy, healing and your aura.
