This year’s event will benefit MetroplexCOPS, Remember The Fallen Heroes, Grapevine Shield, North Texas Shield, and Team Texas. All of these charities provide resources to assist law enforcement and fire department families during the event of an on duty injury or death.
This is the 2nd year as a combined event with Grapevine Police Department and a continuation of the Coppell Police Motorcycle Rodeo. Over the last seven years, this rodeo has been able to donate over $110,000 to various law enforcement and fire department charities. The first year was dedicated to building a memorial wall to two fallen heroes (http://www.odmp.org/officer/15892-police- officer-michael-johns and http://www.odmp.org/officer/13042-police-officer-donald- wayne-swearingin) in Coppell.
This year’s event will be held in Wagon Wheel Park, 345 Freeport Parkway, Coppell, TX 75019.
This year’s event will be capped at 80 officers!!!
Breakfast and lunch will be provided all three days as well as drinks and refreshments throughout the competition. There will also be free event dinners on Thursday and Friday nights with prizes to attendees and transportation to and from the location and host hotel. The awards presentation will commence immediately following the competition on Saturday. Great prizes will be given to the competitors throughout the event. All prizes, food, and drink are included in your entry fee.
We are pleased to announce that participating officers will receive 12 hours of TCOLE training credit.
