Constructed wetland technology is employed to provide water quality improvement in many applications including wastewater treatment, storm water treatment, and indirect potable water supplies for populations in many regions of the country including the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Loretta Mokry is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist (No. 2094) through the Society of Wetland Scientists and senior environmental scientist with Alan Plummer Associates, Inc. She has over 34 years of experience in environmental and ecological studies. Loretta has served as project manager for APAI wetland projects involving both constructed and natural systems. She has been involved with constructed wetland systems from feasibility studies through preparation of detailed design and construction plans, operations and management, and long-term monitoring. Loretta has worked with wetland projects which have provided treatment or polishing of municipal and industrial wastewaters, polishing for recycled water to supplement potable water supplies, and creation or restoration of wetlands for watershed management for protection of water quality. Her experience includes design, operations and management support, and performance evaluation for numerous wetland projects ranging in size from 2.5 acres to 2,000 acres in all regions of the state of Texas as well as in Mississippi and Arizona.
