Galina Alexeenko is the Director of the Atlanta Fed’s Regional Economic Information Network (REIN) in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role she generates economic intelligence from a variety of sources in the Southeast to support the Federal Reserve's formulation and implementation of sound monetary policy. Ms. Alexeenko is also instrumental in fulfilling the Atlanta Fed's public service mission through region-wide outreach and communication.
Prior to joining the Atlanta Fed’s Nashville office, Ms. Alexeenko served as the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Public Policy Liaison and Executive Speechwriter where she was responsible for the Bank’s government relations and executive speech program. She worked closely with economists and monetary policy experts to develop messages that conveyed Atlanta Fed's essential views on public policy and assisted in drafting remarks delivered by President Dennis Lockhart.
A native of Ukraine, Galina also served the Atlanta Fed’s international economic policy specialist where she directed analysis of national and international macroeconomic issues and investigated longer-term structural issues for consideration by senior economists and monetary policy advisors in support of monetary policy process.
Ms. Alexeenko received her B.A. in Economics from Agnes Scott College and an M.S. in Finance and Financial Management Services Donetsk National University in Ukraine.
