Generosity & Gender
Join us in person or online for our April educational program, Generosity & Gender, presented by Lois Buntz, CFRE.
The women’s philanthropy movement has been developing for the past fifty years. Women think about philanthropy and practice it differently than men. Lois will share highlights from her interviews with leading women philanthropists, current research, and suggestions for how to build a women’s philanthropy program. Her book Generosity and Gender will be available for purchase.
The session will be available at Hills Bank North Liberty or you can choose to attend virtually via Zoom. Please indicate your intentions during registration so we have a proper headcount for lunch.

Lois Buntz, CFRE ~ Lois Buntz Consulting
About the speaker:
Lois A. Buntz is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and fund development consultant. As CEO of United Way of East Central Iowa Buntz raised more than 125 million dollars throughout her career. She has held faculty positions at the University of Iowa Graduate School of Social Work and Clarke University. Lois has a BA from the University of Wisconsin, an MSW from the University of Iowa and a certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from Stanford University. She has served on more than 20 nonprofit boards and is currently consulting with WomenStrong, an international women’s organization. Her book Generosity and Gender: Philanthropic Models for Women Donors and the Fund Development Professionals Who Support Them was published in 2022 by Palgrave MacMillan.
