Mental Health Outcomes of Youth with an Incarcerated Parent

A forum hosted by the Strengthening Families Affected by Incarceration Collaborative

Join us December 10 to learn about the mental health of Minnesota youth who have experienced parental incarceration. This is a forum for school staff, mental health providers, parents, caregivers, juvenile justice professionals, and others who interact with youth.

The forum includes:

  • Featured speaker Dr. Pauline Boss. Known for her groundbreaking work on the theory of ambiguous loss,
Dr. Boss will explore the topic as it relates to youth affected
    by incarceration.
  • New findings on the mental health outcomes of Minnesota youth impacted by incarceration.
  • A panel made up of providers and youth familiar with the mental health effects of parental incarceration.
