State of Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Forum 2023

Rutgers University’s Heldrich Center for Workforce Development recently released a report detailing U.S. workers’ perceptions of and experiences with racial and ethnic discrimination in the workplace, and their opinions about diversity, equity, and inclusion policies and practices. This project is led by Carl Van Horn and Dr. Ronald Quincy, Professor of Professional Practice at the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and Senior Faculty Fellow for Diversity Studies at the Heldrich Center. The project, funded by WorkRise at the Urban Institute and the Center, included collaborations with Delaware State University and the Institute for the Study of Global Racial Justice at Rutgers. The research findings and implications will be the theme of the Heldrich Center’s forthcoming State of Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Forum, to be held on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. at the Bloustein School at 33 Livingston Avenue in downtown New Brunswick, NJ. Please indicate if you will attend in person or virtually when registering.

Over the past 25 years, the Heldrich Center has hosted several Diversity and Inclusion forums, featuring distinguished speakers from New Jersey, the nation, and around the world on topics such as disability employment, diversity implementation planning, and economic mobility for workers of color. This year’s event will focus on the specific strategies that employers, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies can implement to address discrimination, and improve diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace.
