Volunteer Career Coach Orientation

Thank you for completing an application to be a Volunteer Career Coach for the New Start Career Network.    

We would like to invite you to participate in a 3.5 hour Orientation and Training on Saturday, March 6. The session will be conducted via Zoom.

The Orientation and Training will cover:

• An overview of the New Start Career Network (NSCN) and its partners, online tools to help job seekers, and other resources
• The economic, mental health, and other challenges facing older, long-term unemployed job seekers
• Contemporary job search strategies
• Trends in the New Jersey labor market
• Expectations and the role of NSCN Volunteer Career Coaches
• Code of ethics and confidentiality for coaches and job seekers

You will receive a certificate from Rutgers University’s Heldrich Center for Workforce Development for your participation in this session.
