Understanding Business Credit - Financial Management For a Small Business

Sound financial management is one of your main avenues to success as a Small Business Owner, and Business Credit is a key aspect of effective financial managment. According to Entrepreneur Magazine, less than 10% of all business owners understand how business credit is established.  However, if you want to keep your business on a firm financial foundation, with the ability to access captial as necessary to fund your operations and take advantage of growth opportunities, it is critical that you understand your business credit profile.  This workshop is designed to highlight Business Credit, how it is established, how to wisely use business credit as part of a smart financial managment strategy, and how lenders view your use of that credit. 

Instructor: Tim Thompson, SCORE Mentor

Tim assists entrepreneurs with business plans, cash flow, market research, financial projections, workshops and preparing clients for financing.  He has been an active mentor with Palm Beach SCORE since 2012. .Before to moving to Florida in 2005, Tim worked for a bank in Cleveland, Ohio that specialized in working with entrepreneurs and early stage companies.  Most of Tim’s mentoring experience has centered around preparing clients to gain access to capital. Tim brings 30 years of experience as a banker and commercial lender with detailed knowledge of the credit and loan underwriting process.
