Larimer County Trail Day 2 - More Sawmill Alt Lines
County Trail Day, Sawmill Re-Route
On Saturday, July 12th, Overland Mountain Bike Club will be working with Larimer County to create even more alternate lines on the Sawmill trail. Please join us for this fun trail day. We'll meet at the Soderberg Open Space trailhead parking lot at 8:30 am (please consider meeting at JJ's Country Corner at Taft and Harmony at 8:00am to carpool, or please car pool from the Blue Sky trailhead parking lot). Plan to work until 1:00 pm or so. Lunch will be provided. Please bring boots, gloves, snacks for when you are on the trail and plenty of water. Long pants and hats are highly encouraged.
Registration will close at 2pm on Friday, July 11th, so please make sure you sign up before then.
Directions:
Go west on Harmony Rd. to where it becomes County Road 38E at the Taft Hill Road intersection. Continue west on 38E approximately 5 3/4 miles, watch for signs and turn right on Shoreline Drive. Continuing 1.2 miles to the Soderberg Open Space and trail head on the west side of the road.
In 2011 hundreds of volunteers participated throughout the summer to build about 80% of the trail. Overland MTB Club is working in conjunction with the US Forest Service and Wildlands Restoration Volunteers (WRV) to provide a significant number of volunteers in order to see this project to completion. We need you! There's only 20% of trail construction that stands between youY
