Come and celebrate the holiday season with fellow Autism Society of Southeastern WI families. The party begins at 2:00 with the concert from the Figureheads taking place from 2:15-3:00 p.m. After the concert we will have refreshments along with a visit from Santa.
From the Figureheads website, "The Figureheads is an award-winning musical act turned non-profit organization using original positive hip-hop music to engage youth and educators, from pre-kindergarden through high school, in order to develop critical thinking and collaborative skills that result in a greater desire to learn and relate. These outcomes can be described in two words: Inclusion, or the ability to collaborate with those different from you in age, ability, gender and race, and Literacy, the development of creative thinking towards onself and society at large, resulting in greater interest in reading, writing and the pursuit of knowledge."
There is no charge for this event but we ask that you bring a plate of 12 cookies to share with others during the social. Please bring them on a non-returnable plate and turn them in when you arrive. If you have special dietary needs, please provide your own treat ( and keep it with you). This event is free and open to the community but please register so we know how many guests to expect.
We are collecting Personal Care Products for adults with Developmental Disabilities, to be distributed by Life Navigators. If you would like to make a donation, you can bring it with you to the concert. Contact us for a list of needed items at info@assew.org.
