Literacy for All:  Ideas and Strategies that Encourage Reading at home
Saturday, April 18, 2015

Activities that enhance literacy also improve the quality of life for all involved.  Working within the context of special interests and multiple literacies, with an emphasis on the written word, we will explore ways (big and little, simple and complex) to strengthen literacy at home for pre-readers, emerging readers and proficient readers. Home literacy activities have the benefit of building relationships, while teaching life and social skills. There will be time at the end of the presentation for discussion and to brainstorm as a group activities to encourage literacy at home.
