Six consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm
Tuesday July 15, 2014 at 6:30 PM CDTEach week we will gather in a different location to learn new skills and have fun outdoors! We will meet for 6 consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30. The first meeting will be at the Autism Society office in Wauwatosa, where we will get to know each other and plan out the activities for the coming weeks. Occasionally the day of the week may be changed if necessary for a certain activity that is chosen by the group, assuming that this new day and time works well for all in the group.
Some possible activities we will try include: sailing in Lake Michigan, hiking at Lapham
Park, planning a cook out and cooking a meal, attending a sporting event, or other
events suggested by participants.
Each week will have a friendship or team-building objective as well as a “homework” assignment to practice skills we are working on while having fun.
Course size limited to 10. This course is targeted at individuals who are willing to try new things, do not need support for self-care, want to participate, and are comfortable in a group of up to 10 peers.
Dates: July 15,22,29 August 5,12,19 all Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
