T.R.A.I.L.S.  2014

Transition for Raising Autism

Independent Living Skills

What is T.R.A.I.L.S.?
Do you have a teen with a developmental disability?
Do you have solid plans for your child when he/she becomes an adult?  TRAILS will assist you in blazing a trail tailored for your teen's adulthood.  For parent/guardian/caregivers of a child with autism, Asperger Syndrome, and other developmental disabilities, age 14-21.  Don't wait until your child is an adult to start planning!

Each of the five evening workshops will focus on a different topic.  Topics covered generally include transition IEP, employment, adult benefits (Family Care and IRIS), and futures planning.  Sign up for all 5, or pick and chose your dates.
Series TRAIL guide is Gail Kolvenbach.  She has been down this trail  before, parenting a young adult with autism, as a family advocate, and working with school systems.  She is a wealth of knowledge about adult services, and will help us stay on track.  Additional information will come from speakers at each session.

2014 TRAILS dates: February 13, March 13, April 10th, May 10, and June 5th.
