Parenting Series: Massage Therapy for Autism 

Cathy Podd is a Licensed Massage Therapist as well as a Certified Aromatherapist, Reiki Practitioner, and Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist. She became passionate about massage after seeing transformations with her special needs son as well as the healing it provided for a close friend suffering from cancer. Her continuing education focusing on massage for special needs has helped her connect with all walks of life.

She graduated from Lakeside School of Massage Therapy of Milwaukee in early 2008 and is a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, nationally certified with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, and a member of the American Herbalist Guild.

Nurturing touch is an extremely important part of a thriving and happy life.  How can you integrate nurturing touch at home and into your child’s life when there are so many outside stimulators that sometimes prevent that from happening?  Cathy will talk about how it has helped her son, give parents ideas and open a dialogue on this great gift.
