Learn to teach your kids to work hard, spend wisely, and give generously—all with a spirit of contentment that will transform their lives! There’s no denying that the community and the relationships built through attending a class with other parents are special. Through class discussion, you will be challenged, motivated and encouraged to create teachable moments for your kids to help them build character qualities while they learn how to handle money God’s ways.

One of the great things about the Smart Money Smart Kids class is that no matter how old your kids are, you will learn how to apply these principles to their specific age groups.

What will I learn?

Lesson 1
Work and Responsibility
Rachel Cruze and Dave Ramsey focus on teaching kids the work-money connection, the importance of personal responsibility, and how our work reflects our relationship with God.

Lesson 2
Spending and Wisdom
Rachel and Dave discuss why parents should understand their child’s particular God-given bent and how that can lead to wise spending decisions now and in the future.

Lesson 3
Saving and Patience
Rachel and Dave talk about how parents can encourage delayed gratification and how kids can learn to set specific goals for their saving.

Lesson 4
Giving and Generosity
Rachel and Dave encourage parents to raise generous children by emphasizing God’s ownership—along with our stewardship—and challenging their kids to step out of their comfort zones.

Lesson 5
Debt and Honesty
Rachel and Dave share the Bible’s perspective on debt and urge parents to raise kids who can identify and reject the cultural myths that fuel debt’s popularity today.

Lesson 6
Contentment and Gratitude
Rachel and Dave challenge parents to actively protect their kids from the pervasive “bigger is better” messages in our culture and to encourage an attitude of contentment rooted in humility and gratitude.
