FSFOA Fall 2014 Conference 

Dear Members and Colleagues:

Greetings!  It is time to register for the Fall 2014 FSFOA Conference!  A preliminary agenda is available on the FSFOA website and on the left side of this webpage.  Your directors and officers are busy confirming speakers to provide you with useful updates and informative sessions.   This is a great opportunity to receive the latest information from the Florida Department of Education and learn from other finance officers.   We will hold elections during this conference and there will be openings for each of our six districts.  Think about it, this is an excellent opportunity to meet and network with other finance officers and help frame future conferences. 

This year, our fall conference will be held November 11-14, 2014 at The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.  It is located next door to Downtown Disney and is in close proximity to the parks and to food, fun, and shopping!  All rooms in the contract block are located within the tower and offer beautiful views of either Downtown Disney or Lake Buena Vista.  The hotel conference package includes a nightly room rate of $99 which includes complimentary wi-fi, complimentary self-parking and a guaranteed room in the main tower.  This rate is available 3 days before and after the conference if you choose to extend your stay. 

The Wyndham Resort is providing a rebate of 5% of our room rate, per paid room night, back to FSFOA to help offset costs.  This is a wonderful cost savings measure to our group.

Hotel Reservations: 
Please make hotel reservations by 5pm on October 20th to receive the conference rate!

The conference package at The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort includes room rates of $99, which includes complimentary wifi, complimentary self-parking and rooms in the main tower. This rate is available 3 days before and after the conference if you choose to extend your stay. 

Hotel reservations can be made by following the reservation link provided above or by calling the hotel directly at 1-800-624-4109. If you call, it is imperative that you identify yourself as part of our FSFOA group in order to receive the conference package.
 

 

Conference Registration:
Remember to register by October 20th to take advantage of our lowest conference rates. Rates will increase by $50 after that date. 

All attendees must complete the online registration process (yes, we have gone paperless!). Please note there are two registration processes; one for conference attendees and one for guests. This will allow you to use a personal credit card for any guests you may bring to the conference.   Links to both registration processes are on the upper left side of this page.

During the registration process, you will be asked to indicate which sessions you plan to attend. This allows us to make sure there is adequate seating for each session. Be sure to check the agenda prior to starting the registration process.
