Please join us for the annual AAHU Day at the Capitol as we continue our efforts in shaping healthcare legislation. After last year’s meeting at we were able to successfully get short term limited duration policy periods extended in Arizona, as well as more recently the successful repeal of the HIT and Cadillac Taxes.

Sen. David Livingston, Director of Transportation and Public Safety; Vice Chairman Senate Finance Committee – he will discuss bills to research Sec 1332 waivers for Arizona, Sharing Ministries, and the omnibus bill to form the new Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (DIFI). |

Sen. Kate Brophy McGee, Chairwoman of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee – she will discuss bills on Controlled Substances, Surprise Billing, Mental Health, and issues from the Republican perspective. |

Sedera, a Medical Cost Sharing Community, will discuss their cost sharing bills at the legislature with their Lobbyist Cheyenne Walsh |

Christina Corieri, Senior Policy Advisor to Governor Ducey; Interim Director of the Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions – she will discuss key health care priorities for the Governor and mental health parity directives. |

Sen. J.D. Mesnard, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee and Josh Kredit, Deputy Attorney General for Law & Policy will discuss Mesnard’s preexisting conditions bill, SB 1397 |

Chuck Bassett, VP, Government Relations & Public Policy at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona – he will discuss various bills from the insurance companies’ perspective. |

Marcus B Osborn, PHD, Senior Government Relations Director Kutak Rock LLP – he will wrap up the day’s discussions, review a few interesting bills, and discuss how the direction of the Legislature may change if control changes in one or both houses. |
