The 2014 Young ICD Connection 

Come join us for an event celebrating and educating those touched by ICDs. Our goal is to educate  in a festive yet relaxed atmosphere while connecting with others who share similar experiences. This event is free of charge and graciously provided by Medtronic Inc. 

 

Saturday, September 27th

9:00 - 9:30 am - Registration & Continental Breakfast 

9:30 - 10:50 am  - Welcome and Perspectives from Special Guests

11:00 - 12:30 pm - Adults - Break Out for Support Sessions
                                 A. Women’s group: Women with ICDs over 18
                                 B. Men’s group:  For the Guys with ICDs
                                 C. Parents of ICD Patients Group
                                 D. Family and Friends Group

          Team Building Fun for kid's and teens

12:30 - 2:00 pm - Lunch and Open Information Booths

2:00 -3:00 pm - Key Note Speaker:  Michaela Gagne Hetzler, Miss Massachusetts 2006 and ICD recipient

        Michigan & Blue Group  (6th grade & up):  Mindfulness Meditation

        Maize Group (5th grade & under): Medical Play, now YOUR the doctor!

3:30 - 5:00 pm - Adult Program
                                 A. Meet the Experts!  A panel of experts answers your questions!
                                 B. Mindful Meditation, Dr. Ruth Lerman

          Michigan Group (9th grade & up) - Support Group & Hang Out Time

          Blue Group (6th - 8th grade) - Support Group & Hang Out Time

          Maize Group (5th grade & under) - Art project
