8:30 am: Jane Foster (QHN) - Welcome / overview of MU Stage 2, focus on Core Measure #14 (ELR)
9:00 am: Andrew Horvath / Bill Vertrees / Marc Lassaux Learning objectives:
- List and describe the 6 steps of ELR Implementation and validation process.
- Describe the connection options available to laboratories on the Western Slope.
- Understand the importance of assuring your LIS version is MU2 certified and able to generate ELR messages
- Understand the basics of HL7 messaging requirements for ELR.
- Understand the requirements, use, and implementation of LOINC and SNOMED-CT codes.
- Describe the Colorado disease reporting requirements and how they relate to flagging laboratory results indicative of reportable conditions.
