The Stormy Weather Arts Festival has been one of the Cannon Beach’s most popular events for over a quarter century and will celebrate its 30th anniversary November 3-5, 2017. Since its inception, the first weekend in November has been a celebration of the arts in Cannon Beach, where you can immerse yourself in the creative culture that has long been a part of this community. As in the beginning, the event still focuses on a wide range of visual and performing arts, offering the opportunity to meet artists and discuss their work, listen to local musicians, take in gallery events and experience why Cannon Beach has been recognized as one of “The 100 Best Art Towns in America.”

Stormy Weather Arts Benefit

Stormy Weather Arts Benefit

Come to the Chamber Community Hall, 207 N Spruce Stree on Friday November 3, 2017.  Doors open at 7:30pm

The "Stormy Weather Arts Benefit" is a fund raiser: providing scholarships for Cannon Beach Arts Association’s Art Camp, Coaster Theatre’s Kids Camp, and the Sea Ranch Summer Music Camp; supporting arts programming in Cannon Beach Academy; and funding future festivals.

Interact with professional jewelry artists who discuss their techniques while their works are being modeled.  Sample a custom cocktail created specifically for the event by Cannon Beach Distillery and a local craft beer collaboration also made for this special weekend, alongside sparkling wine and a dessert buffet featuring sweets from local bakeries and chocolatiers.  The celebration will also include live music, silent auction, and a raffle featuring a "Dream Vacation Package"

Spotlight Concert

Heels to the Hardwood

This Seattle Amercana band brings their foot-stomping sound to Cannon Beach.

Heels to the Hardwood is a soulful Americana rock band that commands the vocal stage with powerhouse vocals, expressive and honest lyrics, intricate guitar riffs, smooth notes of keyboard and pedal steel, and pulsating back beats that will keep your toes tapping and your feet stomping.

Since forming in Spring 2011 in Seattle, WA, Heels to the Hardwood has been playing around the Pacific Northwest and released their debut self-titled album, Heels to the Hardwood, in September 2014.

The Coaster Theatre Playhouse will host this wonderful band with the show begining at 8:00pm, and doors opening at 7:30pm

Music Around Town

Over a dozen local musicians will be playing music throughout Cannon Beach over the weekend, and local businesses will host these musical acts for your listening pleasure.  This is truly a wonderful opportunity to experience the variety of talent that our local musicians possess.

On Saturday from 11am to 5pm you can listen to a few different musicians at these six locations:    The Landing, Sandpiper Square, Coaster Theatre Courtyard, Ecola Square, Haystack Square, Public Coast Brewing.

Gallery Receptions

Starting Friday all of our galleries and many other businesses around town will be having receptions, demonstrations, and presentations from many special artists.  Each individual location will add their unique touch to our Stormy Weather Arts Festival.  Check our website or event brochure for all the details.

Blues, Brews, & Barbeques

11am to 2pm at the Chamber Community Hall you can sample local craft brews including one created by local brewers in collaboration especially for the festival.  Enjoy Delta Blues from Steve Cheseborough and savor a delicious barbecue lunch from local Chefs.
