ActionCOACH Summer Intern Program

GOALS

1)    Provide meaningful employment, learning, and coaching opportunities for one or more undergradutate or graduate students;

2)    Provide local business with proven systems that increase revenue that leads to more jobs.

STRUCTURE

ActionCOACH to coordinate entire program, hire intern (s), and supervise overall work.  ActionCOACH to coordinate the objectives and scope of work for specific businesses that wish to utilize the services of the intern.  Actual work will be done under the direction of the business owner.  There will be at least 2 Learning Events ("the more you learn, the more you earn.")  during the summer where interns and their clients share what they are doing, so that everyone can learn what is and isn't working and what kinds of results are possible.

COST

To qualify for the program, the business must complete the ActionCOACH Alignment Process.  The Alignment allows the business owners to gain clarity about their own Dreams, Goals, and Plans.  The process takes 3-4 weeks, involves a few hours of pre-work, a 3 hour Alignment Session, and a follow-up meeting.  Cost is $1500.

Pay for the summer intern to be determined, based on contribution from individual businesses.  The internship will be structured as a learning opportunity, with the student getting clear training, feedback and accountability.  They will be learning valuable skills about how to do marketing that generates leads, and how to close those leads to create sales.  Many summer interns are unpaid, so the cost may be modest.

INTERN QUALIFICATIONS

Exact major is not critical, but this will be a sales, marketing and technology-based role, so the applicant must be versatile across a range of technologies, and/or be a quick learner and hard-worker.  This is also a very people-oriented job working with a number of business owners, while at the same  time requires keen attention to detail and willingness to spend long periods of time doing intricate data entry or data analysis tasks.  The intern may be expected to know or learn any or all of the following:

Salesforce.com, SendoutCards, Constant Contact, Outlook or Mac AddressBook, Excel, Twitter, LinkedIn, Bitly, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Youtube, iMovie.

In addition, prior to starting the job, the intern will be expected to have read the 3 business books we will provide ahead of time.
