              Econ and Personal Finance Summer Camp for Teachers!!!

Attend the official training for the new Economics and Personal Finance (EPF) course!

Join us for our inagural EPF Summer Institute!  This week-long, residential, 40-hour institute will equip educators with the tools, skills and knowledge they need to effectively teach the new Economics and Personal Finance course. The training includes presentations from NCCEE, The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, NextGen Personal Finance, Everfi and more!

Training will include the following items:

  • Lesson plans that correlate to standards using simulations, projects, in-class activities, online assignments and games! 

  • Lodging for the week 

  • Parking permit for the week

  • All meals

  • Nighttime social activities 

  • Access to Fitness facilities

  • Industry expert lunch panels

  • Opportunity to apply to EPF Master Teacher program from NCCEE

  • Opportunity for a pro-bono session with a financial advisor

  • $500.00 stipend upon successful completion

Check-in will begin at 9am on Monday morning to allow for a 12pm start time!  Bring your collaborating, thinking, financial literacy and economist hats...we have so many great activities in store!

This institute is presented by NCCEE and NextGen Personal Finance in partnership with the  Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Charlotte Branch. Additional funding is provided by Coastal Credit Union Foundation, State Farm, First Horizon and Fidelity Investments.

 

  • Certificates for 40 hours of high-quality professional development will be provided.
  • Activities are aligned to CEE National Voluntary Standards in economics and personal finance.
  • Cross-walk provided to align CEE National Voluntary Standards to NC EPF State Standards when they are finalized and approved by DPI and the SBE.
  • Activites are interactive and hands-on.
  • Meals will be provided at no cost.
  • Access to web-based resources with thousands of lesson plans and interactive resources will be provided.
