Call For Compassion:
Opening the Door to Those Who Suffer with Mental Illness and Poverty
Mental Health America of Greenville County's annual Call For Compassion conference seeks to bridge the gap in understanding and responding to the needs of those dealing with mental health issues.
Our 2014 "Opening the Door to Those Who Suffer with Mental Illness and Poverty" theme will highlight the ways to support those in your faith community who are struggling economically and at greater risk for mental illnesses such as anxiety and depreesion. It will also strengthen your understanding of the struggles, the ways to help and how to offer hope to those who knock on your door who suffer with mental illness and struggle with the many issues associated with poverty, including homelessness, access to care, limited resources and substance abuse.
