This workshop is designed to provide small business owners with information on payment, check and ACH fraud. It is designed to educate the participants on the financial implications of fraud, the reasons why fraud is increasing, and the most common types of fraud. Additionally, the workshop will discuss ways that companies can prevent fraud from occurring. It discusses internal process controls that companies can implement to help mitigate fraud. Commonly available fraud tools, such as positive pay, are also discussed. A case study is provided to help illustrate solutions a business can implement to reduce the risk of fraud. The focus is on providing the participants questions that they need to ask and review their processes to determine what fraud prevention solutions they need to adopt.
