The Mihaylo In-Class Experience will give you the opportunity to sit in on a current course to familiarize yourself with the class structure and course content, while having the opportunity to meet with an esteemed faculty member as well as current students in the program.
Course: MGMT 524 Seminar in Organizational Behavior and Administration
Course Description: Human behavior in organizations, studies in organizational theories and administrative action.
Professor: Dr. John Barbuto obtained his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Rhode Island in 1997 after obtaining an MBA from Bentley University and a Bachelor's degree is Business (Accounting) from the University of Maine. He has been on the faculty at the University of Nebraska since receiving his Ph.D. where he specialized in teaching and researching Leadership topics.
Dr. Barbuto is an accomplished and prolific researcher with over 70 refereed journal publications, including articles in the Organizational Management Journal, the Journal of Leadership & Organizational Studies, and the Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management. Over the years, he has received several awards and grants for both his research and teaching and he has been consistently involved in executive education and industry consulting. Dr. Barbuto joins the Management Department in the area of Organizational Behavior. Further, he will his use wealth of experiences in the leadership area as he serves as the Director of the MCBA Leadership Center.
