The Mihaylo In-Class Experience will give you the opportunity to sit in on a current course to familiarize yourself with the class structure and course content, while having the opportunity to meet with an esteemed faculty member as well as current students in the program.
Course: BUAD 591 - Business Strategic Capstone
Course Description: Tools of strategic management and their application in a business environment. Integrates business functional areas and tools by means of a business consulting project.
Professor: Dr. Lorenzo Bizzi joined the faculty of management of the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics in 2012. He studied business at Bocconi University in Milan and earned his Phd in Management from HEC Montreal, in the joint doctoral program with McGill University, Concordia University and UQAM. His scientific work is focused on intra-organizational and inter-organizational networks, on organization and work design, and on multilevel research. He published in the Journal of Management, Strategic Organization, Industrial Marketing Management, and British Journal of Management. He also published in the best paper proceedings of the Academy of Management.
Dr. Bizzi has been serving as reviewer for several academic journals, including the Academy of Management Journal. He is the recipient of the Mercure Award for best doctoral thesis at HEC Montreal. He has been working with leading companies in several industries, including videogame, movie, pharmaceutical, health care, music recording, strategic consulting, festivals, and telecommunications. He consulted for and collaborated with multinational companies from the United States, Canada, France, England, and Italy.
